The Wygen III is one of the coal-fired power stations owned and operated by Black Hills Corporation near Gillette, Wyoming. This is the third Wygen coal-fired power plant Hladky Construction worked on in a six-year period. The other two were Wygen 2, Unit 4 completed in 2006 and Wygen 3, Unit 5 completed in 2008.
Throughout construction of these plants, HCI performed the following:
- driven pile
- concrete foundations
- site utilities
- ACC erection
- general construction
- crane & hoisting services
