Over the course of approximately a decade, HCI played a significant role in the construction of three coal-fired generating facilities — Wygen I, Wygen II, and Wygen III — at the Black Hills Energy Complex near Gillette, Wyoming.
HCI’s work included driven pile foundations, structural concrete foundations, site utilities, air-cooled condenser (ACC) erection, general construction, and crane and hoisting services.
This long-term involvement provided HCI with substantial firsthand experience executing complex civil, structural, and mechanical support work adjacent to ongoing power generation operations.
